Your are at the gateway to the wonderful countryside of the Cévennes, Alpilles and Carmague and the Languedoc beaches and ports of Port Carmague, Le Grau-du-Roi and Aigues-Mortes are about an hour away.
The Roman history at Avignon and Nîmes, the awe inspiring views from the famous Pont du Gard, the art galleries and potteries at St Quentin la Poterie and the world famous Avignon Festival, are all within easy reach.
Your visit would not be complete without a trip to the famous Uzès market, with over 500 stalls in the Place aux Herbes, or without joining in the fun at one of the many Fête Votives held in adjoining villages during the season.

For something different, hot-air balloon rides are a popular activity offering an aerial view of Uzès and the surrounding areas - this is the only place in the Gard where you can enjoy this particular pastime.
For those golf fanatics amongst you, just 15 kms away Golf Club d’Uzès offers a 9-hole par 36 course. Alternatively, for the more discerning player, Nîmes enjoys two excellent golf courses at Campagne and Vacquerolles.
